Goodbye Tanzania

Well – it’s time to say goodbye from Tanzania. The whole team has now departed for their homes and loved ones.

I would like to thank everyone for a great expedition. The whole team worked together and we have had an experience to last a life time. I would also like to acknowledge Rajabu, our lead Tanzanian guide and his whole crew including Nestor, Edwin, Omar, Francois and Barici to name a few.

Also a special thanks to Joseph from Kili Crown for taking care of Tanzanian logistics and Sean and Jenny from ADI for managing the planning, logistics and admin from South Africa with me.

The summit of Kilimanjaro is never easy and I can say that this team dug deep on summit day to fulfil their dreams. We certainly had our share of interesting weather, cold temperatures and health challenges on this expedition, but we managed our way through all of them.

I hope you have enjoyed our expedition blog.

Till next year…

Best Wishes

Tony van Marken (sevensummits@tonyvanmarken.com)
